U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization

July 2, 2022 By Rev. Márton Egressy

On Friday, June 24, the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, the U.S. Supreme Court made a decision that found the Roe v. Wade decision of 1973 unconstitutional, thus delivering the decision of the legality of abortion back to the individual States.  This is a great victory for life as many States are poised to enact laws protecting the lives of unborn babies.  In the State of Ohio, the Heartbeat Bill (HB 258) was enacted as law on the evening of June 24, making it illegal to obtain an abortion at the detection of a fetal heartbeat, which is detectable around 6 weeks after conception, when most women do not even know they are pregnant.  Please pray for the conversion of hearts and for peace in our country, that we might become a country of a culture of life.
